Karbonn Titanium S9

The Karbon Titanium S9 is a budget to mid-range smartphone having a host of impressive features. The smartphone comes with a large 5.5-inch IPS capacitive LCD display and a quad-core processor.

The device runs Android 4.2 JellyBean operating system. Although the OS is a little outdated, the Indian manufacturer could come up with an update to remedy this shortcoming. The screen on the phone has a HD (1280 720 pixels) display which roughly translates to 267 PPI. Owing to the large display size, the phone has a rather low pixel density and hence the images might not be as crisp as those rendered by most devices in this price point. The device comes in a very slim body measuring in at only 7.9 mm. The phone is quite light as well, weighing only 130 grams. It is available only in white colour option.

The Karbonn Titanium S9 holds a 13-megapixel rear shooter with LED flash and autofocus. The rear camera is very good for capturing full HD videos and images in most conditions. The device also comes with a 5-megapixel front shooter along with the rear camera and it can be used to capture selfies in high definition. The front camera can also double up as a handy tool while making video calls.

The device is powered by a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery and will last an entire day with moderate use. At the heart, the phone has a quad-core MediaTek Cortex A7 processor along with a Power VR GPU. The processor is clocked at 1.2GHz and the combination of the CPU and GPU can effortlessly render most high-end games on the device. On the memory front, the smartphone comes with 1GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage space. The storage can be expanded to up 32GB via a microSD card. The device features a standard array of connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth and USB 2.0 port.
