Lava Magnum X604

Lava has launched the Magnum X604 phablet in India. The device priced at around Rs 12,000 started its online sale exclusively via Snapdeal.

The Magnum X604 phablet sports a 6-inch HD display. The device comes with a HD (1280 x 720 pixels) screen resolution which reflects an effective pixel density of 244 PPI. The Android based phablet runs 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor. In terms of memory, the device has 1 GB RAM coupled with an internal storage capacity of 8 GB which can further be expanded up to 32 GB using the microSD card slot on the device.

The Magnum X604 comes with an 8-megapixel primary rear camera with LED flash paired with a 2-megapixel secondary front camera. The rear camera is capable of capturing stunning images even in dim-lighting situations and record Full HD videos. In terms of designing, the device is 8.9 mm thick and weighs 207 grams. Competing with the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A104, the device comes out on top as the former has relatively lower specifications as compared to the Magnum X604. The Canvas Doodle 3 has a 5-inch display, dual-core processor and 5-megapixel rear and VGA front facing camera.

The phablet comes power packed with a 2800 mAh battery which is enough to keep the device powered for the entire day. The device also comes with an array of connectivity options which includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS and EDGE. The Lava Magnum X604 also offers dual-SIM with (3G & 2G) connectivity capabilities. The mid-level phablet is available in two colour variants: Black and White.

Intex s Aqua Octa is its true competitor as the device priced at Rs 15,000 comes with Mediatek s octa-core processor and has 2GB RAM. The device also hosts a 13-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel front camera.
