Lava X50

Lava has added yet another device to its X series range of smartphones; the Lava X50 is an Android based device. The design aesthetics on this smartphone include a metallic body and curved back design to provide a comfortable grip. There is also what company calls NCVM coating on the back that provides a glossy finish. The device has dimensions of 155 x 71.8 x 8.9 mm.

The Lava X50 flaunts a 5.5-inch HD (1280x720) display with IPS LCD technology, but the manufacturer has not provided the display with any type of protection, so one has to be careful while using the device as there are chances of breaking the display if the device falls.  The primary camera on this device is an 8-megapixel shooter with contrast detection autofocus. The selfie camera is a 5-megapixel sensor with fixed autofocus. Both the camera on Lava X50 feature LED flash to light up the images even in total dark environments. The rear camera is capable of recording videos up to full-HD resolution.

The smartphone is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, and it is guaranteed to be upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The UI has little customizations here and there to differentiate itself from others.  Powering the device is a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.3GHz, it is coupled with 2GB of RAM to help in multitasking.

The device is fuelled by a 2,800 mAh Li-Po battery with power saver mode to extend the battery life by switching off the background data and other functionalities. Connectivity options provided with Lava X50 include dual-SIM 4G LTE (only one SIM can be used on 4G network), Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and a microUSB port.
