The Indian Vendor, Lava, has come up with a new budget offering called the "Lava Z1." The new device is touted as the World's first 100% indigenous smartphone designed by Indian engineers. The phone is an outcome of the "Design in India" contest by the brand that kicked off last year. The entry-level handset from the brand comes with a plastic back and is devoid of a fingerprint scanner. At the front, the device sports a 5.0-inches TFT that sports a screen resolution of 480 x 854 pixels and 196ppi pixel density. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the budget handset comes powered by a MediaTek Helio Quad-core processor that comes coupled with 2GB RAM. The device's inbuilt storage capacity is 32GB and can further be expanded up to 256GB using an external memory card. The rear camera configuration comprises a single 5MP primary camera accompanied by an LED flash. Upfront, the handset includes a 5MP camera for selfies and video chats. The phone comes fueled by a 3100mAh user-replaceable Li-ion battery. The device runs the Android v10(Q) operating system.
