Lava Z61s

India’s budget smartphone market has grown tenfold in the last few years as network access and spending habits of the population have changed immensely. And it has been mainly Chinese companies like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, Huawei, Realme, etc that have been to capitalize on this explosive growth, by selling excellent phones at affordable prices. One company that has been selling entry level phones is Lava Mobiles, which has Indian roots but gets its tech from China. The company is also responsible for the Xolo brand of phones that were a bit popular a few years ago. So the company seems to have a couple of phones lined up for 2020 and the first to make an appearance is the Lava Z61s. This new phone from Lava comes with a 5.0 inch LCD display offering a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels. The phone packs a 1.4GHz quad core processor under the hood and you get 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage space, which is expandable up to 128GB. The phone runs Android Pie with Star OS 5.0 lite layered on top as customization. For photography, you get a 5MP sensor on the back and a 2MP camera on the front for selfies, so that is quite disappointing as similarly priced phones offer better specs. The Lava Z61s comes with a 3000mAh battery but that should suffice for a day of use. Some of the popular Lava mobile phones include the Lava A5, Lava Z4, Lava Z1, and the Lava Hero 600.
