The LG Stylus 2 Plus is a productivity-oriented device. As the name suggests, the LG Stylus 2 Plus comes with a stylus that can be stored in a dedicated slot on the bottom of the device. A stylus helps in increasing the precision of the touch control of the display; it does so with the help of its fine pointed tip. The LG Stylus 2 Plus has a fingerprint scanner on the back of the device along with the volume up and down buttons. LG says that placing the buttons on the back of the device helps in better usability. The device measures 155 x 79.6 x 7.4 mm and weighs mere 146g.

As the LG Stylus 2 Plus is a productivity-oriented device, it houses a 5.7-inch Full HD display. Just like all the other LG smartphone devices, the LG Stylus 2 Plus too comes with an IPS LCD unit. LG is known for producing the highest quality IPS panels. The display is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 to protect from scratches, and increase the durability of the device. The rear-facing camera on the LG Stylus 2 Plus is a 16-megapixel unit with autofocus technology, while the secondary camera is an 8-megapixel unit with fixed focus. Both the cameras have LED flash to aid in low-light conditions.

The Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system on the LG Stylus 2 Plus has been customised to accommodate the additional features of the stylus. For example, a popup on display is shown as soon as one removes the stylus from the slot; it also lets you take down notes when the stylus is removed. One can also write on the display even when the display is off; the phone will automatically turn the display on and save the written notes.  The LG Stylus 2 Plus comes with the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 430 chipset. The Snapdragon 430 chipset has an octa-core processor and an Adreno 505 GPU. The RAM on the LG Stylus 2 Plus is 3GB while the internal memory is 16GB. It would have been better if LG provided the device with 32GB of internal storage as many other smartphone manufacturers like Xiaomi are providing with 32GB of internal storage at an even lesser price.

A 3,000 mAh Li-Ion battery is in-charge of powering the LG Stylus 2 Plus. It would have been better if LG provided the device with a larger battery as the large screen on the LG Stylus 2 Plus consumes more battery. Nonetheless, it is a removable type battery so that one can replace the battery with a spare one on the go. As India is now totally covered with the 4G network, it has become essential for every manufacturer to provide their smartphone devices with 4G and VoLTE support, and LG is one among them. The LG Stylus 2 Plus has a 4G LTE capability with dual-SIM support. It also has a Bluetooth v4.2 LE, microUSB v2.0 port, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, GPS, and an NFC.
