LYF Water 6

The Lyf Water 6 is a budget friendly, entry level mobile with stable core specs and 4G support, a primary feature of mobiles in the series.

The Water 6 sports a 5.0-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720p and pixel density of 294 PPI, the right numbers for a mobile to display videos and images with clarity even when viewed at angles, and displays text with sharpness. It is protected by Asahi Dragontail glass. The phone measures 8 mm thick and weighs 136 grams. The unibody design has metallic edges and a textured back for better grip. The volume and power buttons are on the left, while the SIM card tray is on the right. The phone sports the usual three capacitive touch buttons below the screen. ?

The Water 6 runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core ARM Cortex A-53 CPU on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 MSM8916 SoC that also hosts a Qualcomm Adreno 306 GPU which can handle games without stuttering along with the phone’s 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. Storage space is limited to 32GB with no expandable storage options.

The primary camera is 13-megapixels with LED flash capable of taking images in HDR mode in addition to featuring autofocus, geotagging, panorama, and face detection. The secondary camera is 5-megapixels also capable of taking pictures in HD with its wide-angle lens. The camera app also has picture enhancement features to edit images. The phone is powered by a non-removable 2,920mAh Li-Po battery.

The Water 6’s connectivity features include dual microSIM and 4G VoLTE support, however, the phone can only have one 4G connection running at a time while the other SIM employs a 2G connection. The phone also supports Bluetooth 4.1, 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, and comes with a microUSB 2.0 port. Sensors include a proximity sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor and a gyroscope.
