Micromax Canvas Fire 5

The Micromax Canvas Fire 5 is a budget smartphone device focused on multimedia capabilities. The main attraction of the device is its front-facing dual speakers that are mounted on the top and the bottom. The Canvas Fire 5 has brushed metallic finish on the plastic removable back panel of the device. The front of the device is covered fully with glass. This smartphone is available in Gold, Grey, and Silver.

The Micromax Canvas Fire 5 comes with a 5.5-inch HD display that uses an IPS LCD panel and has a pixel density of 267 PPI. As the device is in the budget category, it compromises on display protection as it misses out on Gorilla Glass display protection.  The large display will make the multimedia experience fun. The camera section on this device includes an 8-megapixel primary shooter and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. The rear-facing camera is equipped with autofocus and LED flash while the front-facing camera has fixed focus. The primary camera can record videos up to the full-HD resolution.

The Micromax Canvas phone ships with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a few changes over stock Android such as ‘Gravity Calling’ that enables the user to use the device upside down while on a call as the speakers on the top and bottom doubles as a microphone. The Micromax Canvas Fire 5 packs an outdated 32-bit based MediaTek MT6580 processor that contains four Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.3GHz, and 1GB of RAM. In addition to the 16GB of internal storage, the memory can be expanded up to 32GB through a microSD card.

The smartphone can provide a talk-time of 8 hours with its 2,500 mAh Li-Ion battery. The Micromax Canvas Fire 5 has a stand-by time of 450 hours. The connectivity options on the Micromax Canvas Fire 5 include dual-SIM 3G, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS and microUSB v2.0 port.
