Micromax Canvas HD A190

Micromax Canvas HD A190 is the first hexa-core device by the Indian phone manufacturer. It features a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels and density of about 293 pixels per inch. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection to resist every day wear and tear.

Now let's come to the most talked about feature of the device - its hexa-core processor. The Canvas HD A190 runs on Hexa-core MediaTek MT6591 chipset and Mali 450 GPU. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB on board memory, which can be expended up to 32 GB using a microSD card. It has proximity, accelerometer and light sensor.

As for the software, the smartphone runs on Android KitKat 4.4.2. Apart from all the common Android KitKat apps such as Gmail, Search and Maps, the smartphone comes preloaded with Micromax's custom apps such as M! Live, M! Security, M! Unlock, Games, Kingsoft, Spuul, Hike, Game Hub etc.

The device features an 8 MP rear snapper with auto focus and LED flash and a 2 MP front camera that facilitates in making video calls and snapping selfies. The other features of the camera include digital zoom, geo-tagging, panorama, touch focus and 1080p@30fps video recording.

The Canvas HD A190 supports playback of MP3, AMR, AAC, WMA audio formats and 3GP, MP4, WMV video formats. It also featured an FM radio for music on the go.

The phone houses a 2000 mAh Li-Ion battery. It supports connectivity through dual-SIM (GSM + WCDMA), Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, HSPA, Bluetooth v4.0, microUSB v2.0 and A-GPS.
