Micromax Canvas Mega 2 Plus

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus aims at the users with a requirement for a smartphone that has a large screen proportion and one that is at an affordable price tag. The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is the successor to the Canvas 2 the was launched a year ago; the only significant difference is that the Canvas 2 Plus comes with 4G LTE connectivity to capture the growing crowd for 4G only Jio network.

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus has a large 6-inch IPS LCD display. The only downer is that the screen has a very low qHD (960x540) resolution that gives it a poor pixel density of 184 PPI. The large displays are highly prone to break and shatter during an impact, even though, in spite of that fact Micromax has not provided any protection layer over the display. The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus has an 8-megapixel autofocus primary camera aided by an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front shooter for the selfie crazy crowd. The primary camera can record only HD videos due to lack of a powerful hardware

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus unlike the Canvas 2, comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS along with a few under-the-hood tweaks from Micromax, and also a plenty of bloatware. On the hardware end, the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus has a quad-core 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832 processor. There is 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of expandable internal storage.

Despite the fact that the large 6-inch display draws a high amount of power, the device is equipped with a relatively small 3,000 mAh battery, that can provide 245 hours of standby time and 25 hours of talk time. The main highlight of the new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is that it comes with 4G LTE connectivity and VoLTE support. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM Radio, GPS with A-GPS, microUSB v2.0 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
