Motorola Moto E

The Motorola Moto E is the next entry level dual-SIM & Android KitKat OS based device from Motorola. Below are the features and specifications of the device as per official announcement of the device.

The Motorola Moto E is powered with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. In terms of memory, it has 1 GB RAM & 4 GB of ROM out of which 2.1 GB would be available for the user. Unlike Moto E & Moto X, this time around, Motorola has introduced support for expanding internal memory which lets users to additionally expand the memory up to 32 GB using micro SD card.

The Moto E sports a slightly smaller screen than its older sibling - the Moto G measuring at 4.3". The screen has qHD (540 x 960 pixels) resolution and it comes with anti-smudge coating, Corning Gorilla 3 protection and IPS technology. Coming to the design of the device, it features the same polycarbonate body as seen on the Moto G with a removable back cover and battery. The devices is 12.3 mm thick and weighs 142 Grams.

In terms of snapping capabilities of the device, it features a 5 MP primary rear facing camera with touch & auto-focus. However, it's worth noting that the primary camera isn't accompanied with an LED flash and the phone doesn't even have a front facing camera. The primary camera comes with other common camera features including smile/face detection, geo-tagging, HDR, panorama, HD (720p) video recording, etc. In terms of multimedia capability of Moto E, it should support playback of all the common multimedia formats including, but not limited to, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, etc.

The Moto E runs on the latest Android v4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box with almost zero UI customization unlike other Android handsets manufactured by third party handset manufacturers. In terms of other software features, the device will be pre-loaded with all the common apps and software features including Google Search, Gmail, Maps, Hangouts, Youtube, image/video editor & document reader.

The Moto E is packed with an 1980 mAh removable battery on board and will be good enough to keep the device powered for an entire day. In terms of connectivity options the device supports dual-SIM (micro), GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-Fi ac/a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 & micro-USB.
