Motorola Moto X

Motorola Moto X is the first flagship phone launched by Motorola after being taken over by Googles. Here is the detailed overview of the device as per the official information.

Motorola Moto X is powered with a 1.7 GHz dual-core Krait processor and Qualcomm MSM8960Pro Snapdragon chipset, Adreno 320 GPU. In terms of memory, the device has 2GB RAM and comes in two storage variants - a 16 GB & a 32 GB variant. The memory of the device is not expendable.

The phone has Accelerometer, barometer, gyro, proximity, compass and temperature sensors.

The device features a 4.7" AMOLED capacitive touch screen with HD resolution (720 x 1280 pixels) that gives an effective pixel density of about 312 PPI. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. When it comes to design, the device has a polycarbonate uni-body and the battery is non-removable. The front panels of the device come in white and black colors while the back panels come in 18 colors. It weighs about 130 grams and is 10.4 mm thick.

The phone has a 10 MP camera with autofocus and an LED flash. The camera has all the common camera features including geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, HDR, panorama as well as capability to record Full HD videos. It also has a 2 MP secondary front facing camera that could be used for video-calling & snapping self-portraits which is capable of recording videos in full HD format too. The device is capable of playing all the common multimedia formats including, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, WAV, WAM, etc.

The Moto X comes with stock Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) which is upgradable to v4.4.3 (KitKat). The phone has all the common Android apps including Google Search, Maps, Gmail and Hangout. It also has a Touchless Command feature that can be trained to assist you to do various tasks like calling, texting and even finding your phone by simply giving voice commands.

The phone runs on a 2200 mAh Li-Ion battery which is non-removable. It promises talk time up to 13 hours and standby time of 576 hours. The connectivity features include GPRS, EDGE, 3G - HSDPA- 42.2 Mbps, HSUPA - 5.76 Mbps; 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/gn, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC, Bluetooth v4.0 & Micro-USB v2.0
