Nokia Lumia 520 runs on 1.0 GHz dual-core Adreno 305 chipset. It has a 512MB RAM and 8 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up-to 64 GB using the microSD card slot present on board the device. It also has accelerometer, screen rotation and proximity sensors.

In terms of screen, the device has 4 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a WVGA (480 x 800 ) pixels resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 233 PPI. It is multitouch up to two fingers.

As far as the design is concerned, Nokia Lumia 520 looks quite similar to the Lumia and Asha 500 series of mobiles. The handset features a similar design to the rest of the series, with broad lines and a curved back.
