Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2019)

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2019 presents itself as a stylish member of Samsung s premium A9 series. The design highlight of the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is the Infinity-O display that takes up almost the entire front fascia of the device. This is also the first handset from Samsung to get this much-talked-about Infinity-O panel. The near bezel-less display on the handset features a circular cut-out on the top left corner that houses the front-facing camera thereby eliminating the need for a notch. The display measures 6.4-inches and has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels in the tall 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is interesting to note that Samsung, this time around, chose to use an IPS LCD panel on the handset instead of trying their luck with its own AMOLED panels. Positioned just above the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018), the Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2019 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset as opposed to the Snapdragon 660 SoC used on the A9. The phone is offered in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM configurations and comes with 128GB of onboard storage capacity. Users also get the option to expand the storage using microSD cards. The phone is also dual SIM capable and supports Indian VoLTE networks.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2019 features a triple camera setup at the rear. This might be deemed a slight downgrade over the quad camera setup on the Galaxy A9. In fact, the camera setup on these two devices is near identical. The A9 Pro loses out on the ultra wide-angle 12mm, 8-megapixel shooter found on the A9. The rest of the camera specs are identical and consist of a 24-megapixel primary camera, a 10-megapixel secondary shooter, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. The front facing camera uses a 24-megapixel that takes selfies with great details.

The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro 2019 boasts of a fairly large 3400 mAh Li-Ion battery with support for fast charging. The handset also gets comprehensive connectivity features including support for dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), USB Type-C, Bluetooth v5.0, and even a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC. FM Radio is supported as well and so is GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS. All these things apart, the handset is dual SIM ready and supports 4G VoLTE networks.
