Samsung Galaxy Fold

The Samsung Galaxy Fold, as its name suggests is a foldable screen smartphone from Samsung. It is a result of years of research and development from the South Korean company. The handset sports a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED cover display at the front along with a primary 7.3-inch Super AMOLED foldable screen on the inside. The Galaxy Fold comes with three camera modules. First up, is a 10 MP front-facing module above the cover display on the outside. Then, there's a 10MP+8MP dual-selfie-camera on the inside when the phone is not folded. Lastly, you get a 12MP+12MP+16MP triple-camera setup at the back of the device. The Galaxy Fold is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chip coupled with 12GB of RAM. Samsung Galaxy Fold Design And Display
The Galaxy Fold features a 7.3-inch Super AMOLED screen that folds like your diary. It packs in 1536x2152 pixels, but actual viewable area is slightly less due to the cutout on the top right side. When folded, the phone offers a 4.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED cover display that can be used like a compact smartphone. Samsung's top-tier phone has a premium glass and metal construction. It uses elaborate hinge with interlocking gears to achieve the folding form factor. The South Korean brand has cleverly placed the fingerprint sensor on the side to maintain clean aesthetics. There is no 3.5mm headphone jack on this phone. You'll have to rely on either bundled Galaxy Buds wireless Bluetooth earphones or use a USB Type-C port to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter to connect to your favourite wired earphones.
Samsung Galaxy Fold Processor And Cameras
The Galaxy Fold is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 855 chip based on 7nm process. It comes with 12GB RAM to ensure that you never run out of memory when multitasking. The gadget comes with 512GB UFS 3.0 internal storage. However, it lacks a microSD card slot. Samsung has gone all out in the photography department. The Galaxy Fold features a 10MP front-facing camera above the cover display. When using it in a tablet mode, you get a 10MP+8 MP dual-selfie camera. You also get a triple-rear-facing camera comprising of 12MP wide-angle + 12MP telephoto + 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensors. All thre cameras on the rear can capture 4K 30fps videos with SD or HDR10+ encoding. Only the 12MP wide-angle camera on the rear is capable of recording 4K 60fps videos.
Samsung Galaxy Fold Battery, Connectivity, And Software
The Galaxy Fold packs-in two battery modules to evenly distribute the weight of the handset. It has a 4,380mAh capacity with support for 15W fast-charging technology. The built-in reverse charging tech turns your Galaxy Fold into a 9W wireless charging pad to juice up other compatible devices. On the connectivity front, the Galaxy Fold is equipped with dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac/6, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C port. The device runs Android 9 Pie with Samsung's custom UI on top. It is designed to run up to three active apps on the primary display. For instance, you can browse the web, reply a message on WhatsApp, and keep an eye on cricket score simultaneously. All of this is possible, thanks to Screen Continuity, Multi-Resume, and Multi-Display functions that Google released with Android 9 and Android 10.
