Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos

Samsung Galaxy Grand runs on 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex-A9 processor. It has 1GB RAM and internal storage of 8GB, out of which only 5 GB is available to the user. It has a microSD slot which is expandable upto 64 GB. It has proximity, accelerometer, gyrometer and compass sensors.

In terms of screen size, the device measures 5 inches (diagonally). The WVGA TFT capacitive screen has HD (480 x 800 pixels) resolution which produces an effective pixel density of about 187 pixels per inch. It comes in black and white colors.

Just like the other Galaxy series devices, it sports a removable back panel and has similar looks and feel. The device weighs about 163 grams and is 9.6 mm thick

The phone has an 8 MP camera at the back. The camera has all the standard features expected of high end smartphones such as geo tagging, auto focus, touch focus, face and smile detection. The camera can also record full-HD videos. The phone has a 2 MP camera at the front for undertaking full HD video calls. The phone offers a great multimedia experience mainly due to its large screen and capability to play videos in all popular formats. The phone is also a great musical device with support for all popular audio formats.

Samsung Galaxy Grand runs on Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) on top of which is Samsung's TouchWiz nature UI. The device also comes pre-loaded with all the common apps and software features required for day to day usage that includes SMS, MMS, push mail, Gmail, Google Search, maps, hangouts, G drive, image/video editor, document viewer, etc. It is equipped with HTML5 browser, Java MIDP.

The phone also comes with some great features that were first featured on Samsung Galaxy S3 such as S Voice, Direct Call, All Share Play, Smart Alert, Popup Play, Multi Window mode and Samsung Hub.

The phone has a standard 2,100 mAh Li ion battery which provides as much as 10 hours of talk time.

In terms of connectivity features, it supports EDGE, GPRS, 3G and Wi-Fi networks. The phone offers additional connectivity options for users to share data such as Bluetooth 4.0 and micro USB 2.0.
