Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace

The Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace is an entry-level, budget friendly smartphone available in four colors - gold, white, blue and black. The Galaxy phone’s redeeming qualities include its Super AMOLED display, 128GB of expanded storage and removable battery. The device is also referred to as Samsung Galaxy J1 Ace Duos.

The J1 Ace measures 9.5mm thick and weighs 128 grams. It features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, and 217 PPI of pixel density that displays colors with adequate sharpness and detail. The display is lightweight and takes a far smaller toll on the battery than other display varieties. The phone features the standard Samsung home button and soft-touch open apps and back button. The microUSB port is at the bottom, power on the right and volume buttons on the left. 

The J1 Ace runs Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor with a basic 512MB RAM best used for simple mobile tasks. Internal storage is set at 4GB for storing default apps and data that is expandable to 128GB adequate for large amounts of music, videos, images and other varieties of your personal data.

The phone features a 1,800mAh removable battery that lasts 7-8 hours. Buying a power bank might not be a bad idea if you plan on buying the J1 Ace. The J1 Ace’s front facing camera is 5-megapixel with an f/2.2 aperture and LED flash, both of which are required for low light conditions, while the front facing camera is 2-megapixels, adequate for selfies. In addition to these, the rear camera also features touch focus, geotagging, face detection and panorama.

The J1 Ace supports two micro-SIM cards in dedicated slots. Connectivity features of the phone include 4G, 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, microUSB v2.0, Bluetooth v4.0, and GPS, and GLONASS. Sensors of the phone include an accelerometer and proximity sensor.
