Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2

Launched back in December 2013, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 is the second generation S Duos branded phone from the Korean phone maker. It has since then been succeeded by the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 3 which the company launched in 2014. As the name suggests, the Duos branding points towards the fact that this device is a dual SIM handset.

Powered by a Broadcom-made BCM 28145 chipset, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 features a dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor that has a clock speed of 1.2 Ghz. There is 768 MB of RAM and 4GB of onboard storage which by today's standards is definitely on the lower side. As expected of a Samsung handset, the phone does feature a microSD card slot for memory expansion. 32 GB micro SD cards are supported. Moving on to the all-important display, the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 gets a 4-inch display that sports a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels which translates to a PPI density of around 223 - making it a decently sharp display. The imaging department is handled by a basic 5 megapixel autofocus camera that gets LED flash for low light imaging. The primary camera can also capture videos in VGA resolution at a decent 30 frames per second. The secondary camera only gets VGA resolution and is only useful if you make Skype/Video calls. Selfie freaks might want to stay miles away from this phone!

That brings us to the connectivity features on the Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2. With support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, bluetooth v4.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS and FM Radio, you would not feel disconnected with the S Duos 2. Under the removable back panel is the Li-Ion 1500 mAh battery that claims to offer a stand-by time of up to 280 hours on 3G. Talk time on 3G networks is claimed to be 8 hours. The Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2 comes in two color options - Black and White.
