Samsung Galaxy Tab E 3G Details

The Samsung Galaxy Tab E is the Korean manufacturer's newest affordable tablet offering that offers a large display but misses the mark with an older version of Android.
The Galaxy Tab E features a 9.6-inch TFT LCD display. The display has a resolution of 1280x800 pixels, which isn't very high but should be just about right to not ruin the entire viewing experience on the available screen estate. Being an affordable device, the display isn't expect to be stunning in terms of colour reproduction or contrast, but it should be a great boon for those looking for a near 10-inch tablet at a budget price.
Under the hood, the Galaxy Tab E runs the show with a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz, which should offer above average performance. There is 1.5GB of RAM that should enable good multitasking, and the tablet offers 8GB of storage inbuilt and a microSD card slot for further addition of storage space. There is only Wi-Fi connectivity available on the tablet, making it unsuitable for those that are always on the move and require support for mobile networks.
The battery on the Galaxy Tab E is fairly large at 5,000 mAh and should be able to run for multiple days without needing a charge. In terms of imaging, the tablet features a 5-megapixel camera on the back for primary photo capture, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies, video calls, and more. There is no LED flash accompanying the camera, so low-light photography is expected to be affected negatively.
The Galaxy Tab E runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box, instead of Android 5.0 Lollipop. This is possibly its biggest disadvantage and is one reason that users would be better off looking for an alternative tablet. However, if a large screen and a known brand are what matters, the Galaxy Tab E should be a decent option for most consumers.
