The Samsung Galaxy Xcover 4 is the latest version of the rugged glass-and-metal smartphone featuring updates over all aspects of the Xcover 3. ?

A 4.8-inch HD resolution touchscreen display fronts the Xcover 4 along with physical navigation keys below the screen. The phone comes with an IP67 dust and water resistant certification that allows the phone to stay submerged for 30 minutes to a maximum depth of 1 meter. The phone is also fortified against dust, salt, humidity, physical and thermal shock with an MIL-STD-810G certification. The phone is available in gray exteriors.

The chipset on the phone is an Exynos 7570 that features a 1.4 Ghz quad-core CPU and a 2GB RAM that takes care of standard apps and games with ease. Demanding apps might slow the phone down. Expandable storage is at 256GB via microSD card that fits into a dedicated slot. Internal storage is limited to 16GB although this is an update from the Xcover 3 s 8GB internal storage. The GPU on the Xcover 4 is a Mali-T720 for graphics.

The Xcover 4 features a 13-megapixel primary camera that is accompanied by LED flash that takes quality images, and is capable of recording in Full HD resolution. The selfie camera is 5-megapixels that takes clear images. The battery that powers the Xcover 4 is 2,700mAh and is a removable Li-ion that is a step-up from the Xcover 3 s 2,200mAh. The Xcover 4 s battery lasts about twenty hours.

The Xcover 4 has been updated to support 4G LTE, in addition to which the phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.2. GPS, GLONASS and A-GPS facilitate navigation.
