Samsung Galaxy Young is the successor for entry-level Samsung Galaxy Y. Below are the detailed specifications of the phone as per the official information.

 Samsung Galaxy Young runs on 1 GHz single-core processor. It has a 768 MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, which is expandable up-to 64 GB using the microSD card slot present on board the device. It also has accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors.

In terms of screen, the device has 3.27 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen with a HVGA (480 x 320) pixels resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 176 PPI.  It has a multi-touch screen.

The design of Samsung Galaxy Young looks quite similar to its predecessor Samsung Galaxy Y. It has plastic body and it comes in black and white variants. Its back is removable and the phone has two SIM card slots apart from a microUSB port. It weighs about 112 grams and is 12.5 mm thin.

The device comes with a 3 MP primary rear facing camera without autofocus and LED flash. It can record VGA videos. It has no front facing secondary camera.

In terms of multimedia features, the device supports playback of the common multimedia formats including, MP3, MP4, WAV, AAC, AVI, etc.

Samsung Galaxy Young comes preloaded with Android v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) along with Samsung's TouchWiz UI. It has messaging features such as SMS, MMS, push mail and IM. It also has HTML browser, Java as well as an FM radio. Just like any other Android devices, it also comes pre-loaded with all the common apps and software features including Gmail, Google Search, Maps, Hangouts, Organizer, image/video editor, etc.

The phone encases a 1300mAh Li-Ion battery. In terms of connectivity features, the device supports GPRS and EDGE, HSDPA (7.2 mbps), HSUPA (5.76), Bluetooth v3.0 and Micro USB v2.0.
