Sony Smartband SWR10

  The Sony Smartband is a fitness tracker that works with all Android 4.4 devices. The device ships in Black colour but can be customised with interchangeable bands. The Smartband comes with a tiny tracker which is roughly as the size of a USB drive and weighs only 6 grams. It is made of plastic and is slightly curved. The band comes with a single button on its side and has three White LED lights beside it. The Silicon wristband also has three small pinholes for the lights to shine. The strap is made of Silicon which has a latex feel and is also light. The device has no sharp edges and is gentle on the skin.  

The smartband does not have a display therefore there is no option even to check time. The device hosts a microUSB port for charging. Sony s fitness tracking bracelet is IP58 certified which means the device is water resistant and dust proof. Although the device is available in Black, the user can change the colour of the bands. The bands available in Green, Purple and Orange has to be bought separately. Very much like the other fitness trackers, the Smartband tracks movement via an accelerometer. The primary function of the lone button is to switch from day to night mode but it can also be used with a handful of compatible smartphone applications. The battery life on the device is satisfactory and fits at the price segment.
