Sony Xperia M is a budget smartphone from the smartphone giants. With an intent to revolutionize the budget smartphone market in India, Sony unveiled the new Xperia M. Given below are the detailed features and specifications of the device as per official information.

The smartphone runs on Android 4.1/4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system which can be upgraded to 4.3 Jelly Bean. The device features a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Krait processor with Adreno 305 GPU. In terms of memory, the Xperia M hosts 1 GB RAM paired with an internal storage capacity of 4 GB which can be further expanded to 32 GB with the help of the microSD card slot present on the device.

The Xperia M has a 4-inch TFT capacitive touch screen. The screen features qHD (854 x 480 pixels) screen resolution which reflects an effective pixel density of 245 PPI. Setting eyes on the designing of the smartphone, the device features the looks similar to those of the previous Xperia smartphones. The Sony Xperia M is 9.3 mm thin and weighs 115 grams. The budget smartphone comes in four colour variants namely Black, White, Purple and Yellow.

The Xperia M hosts a 5 MP primary rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash which can be used to capture quality images and videos. In addition to the primary camera, the smartphone also has a VGA secondary front facing camera. Today’s smartphones support playback of all the common multimedia file formats. The Sony Xperia M supports playback of MP3, MP4, WAV, etc. files.
