Sony Xperia SP

The phone runs on a 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960T Snapdragon chipset based on Krait processor and Adreno 320 GPU. It comes with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal memory which can be extended up to 32 GB using the microSD card slot present in the device. The device is also equipped with accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors.

The Xperia SP feature a 4.3-inch capacitive display with HD display resolution that gives an effective pixel density of about 319 PPI. The phone has an aluminium frame and features Sony's NXT design. It looks stylish especially when the illuminated transparent strip at the bottom changes colors according to the notifications. It weighs around 150 grams and is 10.6 mm thin. It comes in white, black and red colors.

It has an 8 MP camera with autofocus and pulsed LED flash and 16x digital zoom. Other features included are face and smile detection, image stabilization, HDR and other tweaks that allow for taking images and videos faster. In terms of multimedia, the mobile has all major and video codecs included as default.

The phone runs on Android v4.3 (Jelly Bean) and has plans to upgrade to Android v4.4 (KitKat). It comes with Walkman application, TrackID music recognition and Bluetooth stereo (A2DP) in addition to usual Android apps such as Google Chrome, Google Play, Google Voice Search and Google Maps.

It comes with a huge 2730 mAh battery that should be more than sufficient to last a full day even after heavy use.
