Spice Dream Uno Mi-498, is the company s introduction of Google s Android One initiative. The device bears a low price-tag and is targeted towards the low-end smartphone market. The smartphone will compete with the likes of other similar devices falling in the similar price bracket including the popular Xiaomi Redmi 1S.

The device is unique in the sense that it will be the first to receive any updates from Android. It runs the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The display is poor as the device does not offer great viewing angles. It features a 4.5-inch LCD screen on which images do not appear crystal clear.

In terms of imaging, the device has a 5-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash which allows users to capture decent images even in low-light environments. You can also capture videos. Selfie lovers can indulge themselves in the 2-megapixel front camera.

The device comes with regular connectivity options including 3G, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and a microUSB 2.0 port. Considering the price point, the device is worth buying specially because of the fact that it will be the first to receive any Android update. Also, it has a decent camera which can be used for capturing images and videos.
