The Vivo Y5 comes with a 6.3-inch IPS LCD screen with full-HD+ 1080x2340 pixels resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone has a waterdrop notch on top housing the front camera. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection against scratches. Under the hood, the Y5 is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 439 chipset with Adreno 505 GPU that acts as a good base for the phone to handle multitasking and other functions including gaming seamlessly. The Y5 has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage that can be further expanded via microSD card.

In the imaging segment, the Vivo Y5 has a 13MP+5MP dual camera setup on the rear aided by an LED flash. The camera setup supports a slew of AI-backed features such as Portrait mode and more. On the front, the Vivo Y5 has a 13MP selfie shooter. The software side is taken care of by Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch 9 OS, which is integrated with top of the line features for a smooth experience.

The Vivo Y5 is backed by a 3,500mAh battery. For connectivity, the phone supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.0, Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the rear panel while the front camera on the phone enables Face Unlock feature.
