Xiaomi Poco F2

The Poco F2 comes as the successor to the very popular Poco F1, which was the first smartphone in its series from Xiaomi. The Poco F1 offered flagship-grade hardware for a mid-range price, and it was the most affordable smartphone to have the Snapdragon 845 chipset. Not only the Poco F1 had a great performance, but it also covered all the other basics. It had a large battery, a great camera, and it didn t skimp on any connectivity options. The Poco F2 is no different; even it offers flagship-grade hardware at a mid-range price. The Poco F2 packs the flagship processor from Qualcomm for 2019, the Snapdragon 855. As compared to its predecessor, the Poco F2 brings with updated hardware, better camera setup, and a refreshed design.

The Poco F2 has a 6.3-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution. The display has a nearly bezel-less design and a waterdrop notch. This is the same display that we have seen in the Xiaomi s Redmi Note 7. Xiaomi says that the display has Gorilla Glass protection, but they haven t revealed which version of Gorilla Glass they are using.

The Poco F2 is a huge leap over its predecessor in the camera department. While the Poco F1 had a 12MP + 5MP dual-camera setup, the Poco F2 has a 48MP + 5MP dual-camera at the rear. Again, this is the same camera setup that is in the Redmi Note 7. Just like its predecessor, the Poco F2 can record 4K videos at 60 frames per second. At the front, the device has a 13MP camera.

The Poco F1 came with the Qualcomm s flagship processor for 2018, the Snapdragon 845. The Poco F2 continues the trend; it comes with the Qualcomm s flagship processor for 2019, the Snapdragon 855. Apart from being the flagship processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 is also one of the most powerful chipsets available for Android smartphones. The Poco F1 with its Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 already had a great performance and gaming. The Poco F2 takes it even further with this new powerful chipset. The Poco F2 comes in three configurations. The base variant has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. The other variant has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, while the top of the line variant has 10GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The Poco F1 runs on Android 9 Pie operating system with Xiaomi s MIUI 10 customization.

The Poco F2 continues to come with the same 4000mAHh battery that we have seen on the Poco F1. It also carries over the Quick Charge 4 fast charging feature from its predecessor. In spite of having the same battery capacity, the Poco F2 is believed to provide a longer battery backup as it has a more power-efficient processor than its predecessor.
