Xiaomi Redmi 5

The Redmi 5 is the bigger brother of the Redmi 5A. The device, which succeeds the Redmi 4A, ships with more or less identical specifications at an affordable price. Regarding design, the handset sports a metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

The Redmi 5 flaunts a 5.7-inch HD+ display offering decent viewing angles and good legibility even when placed under bright sunlight. For imaging, the smartphone has a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter that you can use for video calling and selfies. There is a 12-megapixel rear camera, which is equipped with an LED flash for capturing images and videos in low-light conditions. 

To keep things running, the Redmi 5 is equipped with a Li-Po 3,300mAh battery that can easily keep the device functioning for 24 hours. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Snapdragon 450 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM to make sure that users experience a smooth and lag-free smartphone experience. 

Connectivity options on the Redmi 5 include 4G, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, and a microUSB 2.0 port. For storing media files and other data, the handset ships with an internal storage space of 16GB which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
