Xolo Q600s

Xolo Q600s is yet another low-cost smartphone in the Android family. The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system. The device is more of a modified version of last year’s Q600. The smartphone set to compete with the likes of Micromax Unite 2, Moto E and Lava Iris X1 has appealing features.

The new Xolo Q600s features a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with qHD (960 x 540 pixels) screen resolution which produces an effective pixel density of 245 PPI. Under the hood the smartphone is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Broadcom processor and Broadcom VideoCore IV GPU. It has 1 GB RAM with 4 GB internal storage capacity which depending on the user can further be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card slot present on the device. The Xolo Q600s comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash which has the capacity to capture vivid images. The camera has Geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and panorama features. It also has the ability to capture HD videos. The device also sports a VGA camera but it acts more of a showpiece than an imaging device.

The connectivity suite of the smartphone features 3G, GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. The device in available in two different colour variants which includes Black and White. The smartphone is 7.9 mm thin and weighs 115 grams. In the multimedia department, Xolo Q600s supports playback of all the common multimedia file formats which include MP3, MP4, WAV, etc. The phone also comes with pre-loaded apps like the photo viewer and editor, document reader, Google Search, Gmail, Maps, etc. The smartphone comes with an FM Radio. The smartphone is powered by a Li-Ion 2000 mAh battery which supports talk time up to 24 h (2G) and 11 h (3G).
