Huawei Honor 10 Lite

The Honor 10 Lite is one of the most attractive looking mid-range phones of 2019, all thanks to its glass-and-metal design, a gradient color pattern at the rear, and a waterdrop notch in the screen for the maximum viewing area. The phone is available in three color variants: Midnight Black, Sapphire Blue, and Sky Blue. The Sky Blue color variant has a gradient color finish. The Honor 10 Lite has a 6.21-inch IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution (2340×1080 pixels at 415ppi). The aspect ratio of the screen is 19.5:9 and it comes with a waterdrop-shaped notch for accommodating the front-facing camera. Thanks to smaller bezels surrounding the screen, the phone has close to 83.1% screen-to-body ratio. There’s a fingerprint reader at the rear and a dual-camera setup arranged in a horizontal layout.

The Honor 10 Lite uses Huawei’s Kirin 710 processor with 12nm fabrication. The chipset has four Cortex-A73 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7GHz, and ARM’s Mali-G51 MP4 GPU with four cores. The phone also features the GPU Turbo 2.0 feature which makes certain games run smoother using optimizations. The chipset is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage. There is a variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage as well. Users can expand the storage using the SIM 2 slot, which also accepts microSD cards of up to 512GB storage capacity. The Honor 10 Lite runs EMUI 9 software which is based on Android 9 Pie.

There is a 13MP+2MP dual-camera setup on the Honor 10 Lite’s rear. The 13MP primary camera sensor has f/1.8 aperture, 26mm wide-angle lens, phase-detection autofocus (PDAF) and Full HD 1080p video recording. The 2MP camera acts as a depth sensor and helps the Honor 10 Lite in capturing images with DSLR camera-like portrait images with background blur effect (also known as bokeh effect). The Honor 10 Lite’s front-facing camera has 24MP resolution, f/2.0 aperture, fixed-focus lens, 0.9μm pixels, and 1080p video recording. Both front and rear-facing cameras have the auto HDR feature for wider dynamic range. Thanks to the Kirin 710 processor, the phone has AI scene recognition for a better understanding of the image that it is going to capture.  

The Honor 10 Lite has a slightly smaller battery compared to the Honor 10. The cut-down version comes packed with a 3400mAh non-removable battery and it can be charged using the bundled 5V/2A charger at 10 watts. There is a secondary microphone for active noise cancellation during audio and video calls. The Honor 10 Lite is a dual-SIM phone with dual 4G LTE and dual-VoLTE features. Other connectivity features include A-GPS, FM Radio, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 (with LE), NFC, and a microUSB 2.0 port.
