Huawei Honor 6

The Chinese manufacturer is aiming to attract the consumers who want to buy an affordable smartphone without compromising on the processor. The Huawei Honor 6 is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 920 processor (1.7 GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 + 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A7) along with Mali-T628 MP6 GPU. It has 3 GB RAM and 16/32 GB internal memory which is expendable up to 64 GB using a microSD card slot present on the device. The phone also has accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors.

The device has a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with Full HD (1080 x 1920 pixels) resolution giving an impressive sharpness of about 445 PPI. Weighing just 130 grams, the phone is quite light-weight. Wrapped in an aluminium body, the device is quite slim around the waist as well measuring only 7.5 mm. It is available in black and white colors.

The Huawei Honor 6 features a 13 MP HDR camera with dual-LED flash and auto-focus. The other features of the phone include geo-tagging, touch focus and face detection. The rear-facing primary camera will also double up as a camcorder as it is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. It also has a 5 MP front-facing secondary camera which can be used to click decent self-portraits and video-calling. In terms of multimedia, the phone can support almost all the video and audio codecs.

The phone comes with the stock Android v4.4.2 (KitKat). In addition to Android apps such as Google Maps, Google Search and Gmail, the device comes preloaded with many useful as well as entertainment applications. It supports messaging through SMS, MMS, Email and IM. It also has aN FM Radio.

The device packs an impressive 3100 mAh Li-Po battery which promises to last an entire day on full charge. As for the connectivity options of the phone, the Honor 6 supports LTE, HSPA, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth v4.0, WI-FI a/b/g/n and microUSB.
