Micromax Canvas 5

Homegrown manufacturer Micromax has come up with the Canvas 5. The latest variant in the popular Canvas series is a flagship device that comes with thin bezels and looks quite attractive.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.3 GHz octa-core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor to ensure top-notch performance. Also, on the platter is 3GB RAM which keeps the device lag-free while working on multiple apps at the same time. The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop thus providing users with the latest Android experience.

On the front, the Canvas 5 boasts a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display paired with awesome viewing angles and 2.5D arc glass. The screen looks bright and offers great legibility while outdoors. The screen also comes with a coating of Corning Gorilla 3 that keeps the device scratch-free.

Over to imaging, the Micromax Canvas 5 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash to record impressive images and videos in both indoor and outdoor environments. For video calls via Skype and Messenger, one can use the 5-megapixel front-facing shooter which is also coupled by an LED flash.

Users can store all necessary apps and data as the smartphone comes with 16GB of onboard storage which as per the requirement of the user can be expanded further up to 64GB via a microSD card. The device looks premium as it is surrounded by a metal frame and sports a leather-like back cover.

One can always afford to stay connected thanks to the support of multiple connectivity options. Connectivity options besides dual-SIM support include 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a microUSB 2.0 port. Adding fuel to the device is a Li-Ion 2,900 mAh battery. The Micromax Canvas 5 is 8.3mm thick and weighs 143 grams. It is available in black colour.
