Nubia Red Magic 3S

The Nubia Red Magic 3S is not your regular slim handset. It is designed with a focus on sturdiness and performance. The company claims that the phone is made of anodized aluminum and extra layers of graphite for better heat dissipation. And of course, it has an LED strip that can render 16 million colors.

This gaming smartphone sports a 6.65-inch AMOLED display with the resolution of 2340 x 1080. The screen has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. With its pixel density of 388 ppi, the display is quite sharp. Rather than experimenting with a display notch, Nubia has decided to stick with conventional bezels. To protect the screen against scratches, the Chinese company has used Japan's NEG's (Nippon Electric Glass) Dinorex glass. This chemically strengthened panel is an alternative to Corning's Gorilla Glass.

At the heart of the Nubia Red Magic 3S is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset. The chip comprises of a Kryo 485 core clocked at 2.9 GHz, three Kryo 485 cores clocked at 2.42 GHz, and four power-efficient GHz Kryo 485 capped at 1.8 GHz. To keep you at the top of your game, the handset relies on the Adreno 640 GPU. To ensure that you don't run out of memory, the handset crams in up to 12 GB of RAM. The phone comes with 256 GB of internal storage. There's no option to expand it further though. Should you feel the need for more power, the Nubia Red Magic 3S offers GameBoost high-performance mode. On the software side of things, you get Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.

In terms of photography, the Nubia Red Magic 3S comes loaded with a 48 MP rear camera. Unlike most modern phones though, this phone lacks a multi-sensor camera setup. It can, however, record 4K resolution videos at 60 fps. For those who can't live without taking a selfie, Nubia has thrown in a 16 MP front-facing camera.

Gaming takes a toll on battery life. Therefore, Nubia has equipped the phone with a large 5,000 mAh unit. Moreover, to get you back in the middle of the action quickly, the handset comes with fast-charging technology. The Nubia Red Magic 3S is a dual SIM handset with support for 4G. Other connectivity options include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, and USB type C port.
