The Realme 5 Pro gets a slight upgrade in terms of processing when compared to the Realme 3 Pro. This new phone uses a Snapdragon 712 mobile processing platform from Qualcomm and it has a slightly higher clock speed than the Snapdragon 710 that s used in the Realme 3 Pro. It also features 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.1 internal storage chip. Storage space can be further expanded using a microSD card, and you ll be happy to know that the Realme 5 Pro uses a triple card slot, which means that two SIM cards and a microSD card slot can all be used at the same time. So, no sacrifices when it comes to storage and connectivity. The Realme 5 Pro runs a slightly newer version of ColorOS (v6.0.1) which is still based on the Android 9 Pie operating system.

The first quad-camera phone from Realme is the Realme 5 Pro, and it features a 48MP primary sensor (Sony IMX586) with F1.8 aperture, PDAF, and 4K 30fps video recording. The secondary camera uses an 8MP sensor (1/4-inch) with an ultrawide-angle lens with F2.2 aperture. There is a 2MP camera with a fixed macro lens and a 2MP depth-sensing camera. At the front, the Realme 5 Pro uses the same 16MP selfie camera that s used in the Realme X, albeit placed in a waterdrop-shaped notch rather than a motorized pop-up mechanism. The Realme 5 Pro uses an IPS LCD screen with a size of 6.3 inches and has Full HD+ resolution (2340x1080 pixels). The screen has a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a maximum screen brightness of 450 nits. The Realme 5 Pro has a plastic chassis but there s Corning Gorilla Glass 3+ protection above the screen. On the rear, the phone has a plastic covering that looks like glass. At the rear, the Realme 5 Pro has a capacitive fingerprint reader with a circular shape.

A 4000mAh battery that powers the Realme 5 Pro, is similar to the one that powers the Realme 3 Pro. However, the phone now comes with a USB Type-C port and is compatible with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging. The phone has a dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Google Cast, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, BDS, GLONASS, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
