Xiaomi Redmi 4A is another budget offering from the China-based smartphone maker. The device can be called a lower-end variant of the Redmi 4. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A being a lower-end version of its predecessor misses out on the fingerprint reader. However, the device sports the same look and comes with curved edges. It can be said that the smartphone looks similar to the Redmi 2A. For imaging, users get a 13-megapixel rear camera paired with an LED flash which helps in capturing images and shooting videos even in the dark. To assist video calls and selfies, the device has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A runs the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under MIUI 8 out of the box. The MIUI 8 which also is seen on the Redmi 4, brings with it new exciting features like the Energy saving mode which disables application running in the background when the battery level is low, the gallery comes with quick share controls, and also allows users to set a password for their notes.
The device ships with a 5-inch HD display as opposed to Full HD on the Redmi 4. Nevertheless, the device reproduces bright and vibrant colours and also visibility under bright light isn't that poor. 

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is equipped with a 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset which is paired with 2GB of RAM to ensure smooth sailing and effortless multitasking. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G, W-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, and a microUSB 2.0 port.

There is 16GB of internal storage space that can further be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB for storing data and apps.The device is backed by a Li-Ion 3,120 mAh battery which the company claims can last for an entire day on moderate usage.
