The ROG Phone 2 gets an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. This allows for ultra-smooth gaming. The screen on this handset measures 6.59-inches and bears a Full HD+ resolution. It even covers 108.6 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut for a professional-grade viewing experience. Driving this screen is a flagship Snapdragon 855+ chipset that has been overclocked to ensure best possible performance in both games and everyday use. This processor is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB UFS 3.0 of storage. The ASUS ROG Phone II has a metal frame with Gorilla Glass 6 on the front and the rear.

With the help of dual front-firing speakers, users can fully immerse themselves in games and movies on the ROG Phone 2. These stereo speakers come with built-in NXP 9874 smart amplifiers that allow 24-bit/192KHz Hi-Res Audio output. The phone also supports DTS headphone X Ultra 7.1-channel surround sound along with Qualcomm s aptX HD for wireless audio over Bluetooth. Another revolutionary tech this phone comes with is its 3D vapor-chamber cooling. This GameCool system allows heat from the CPU to be dissipated more effectively. The phone also comes with an AeroActive cooler that is claimed to knock down a few more degrees from the phone.

Asus hasn t skimped out in the photography department as the ROG Phone 2 features a triple rear camera setup. The front-facing camera here is a 24MP shooter with F2.2 aperture, 1080p 30fps video recording. At the rear, the phone has a 48MP+13MP dual-camera setup. The 48MP camera uses a 1/2-inch Sony IMX586 sensor with F1.79 aperture, Dual-Pixel PDAF Autofocus, Laser Autofocus, EIS, HDR, and 4K 30/60fps video recording. The 13MP ultra-wide camera has F2.4 aperture, fixed-focus lens, and 4K 30fps video recording. Powering the entire contraption is a massive 6000mAh battery that supports Qualcomm s Quick Charge 4+ and it is also compatible with USB Power Delivery protocol (up to 30W). The phone charges over the USB Type-C port. Just like its predecessor, the ROG Phone 2 gets 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ad 2x2 MIMO Wi-Fi direct and WiGig 802.11 ad wireless display support. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, 4G VoLTE, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
