The Zenfone 3 is a premium range smartphone priced at under Rs. 25,000 with powerful core specs. There are two variants of the phone, 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. This version has 4GB/64GB.

The Zenfone 3 features a wide 5.5-inch Super IPS display with 1080 x 1280 p resolution and 401 PPI pixel density enabling it to show only the best quality videos, images and media. The IPS display presents good contrast, bright colors, and impressive viewing angles.The 5.5-inch screen is also ultra comfortable when it comes to gaming controls, while doubling as a tablet that displays clear text. In terms of dimensions, the Zenfone 3 measures a comparatively slim 152.6 x 77.4 x 7.7 mm, and weighs 155 grams. The phone comes in three colors: black, white, and gold.

The phone runs on 6.0.1 Marshmallow on a Snapdragon 625 SoC with an 2.0 GHz octa-core Cortex-A53 processor and 4GB of RAM. These enable the phone to multitask with good speed and handle demanding apps with ease. Storage space on the phone is limited to 64GB that can be increased to 256GB with an SD card.

The rear camera is 16-megapixels with OIS that automatically corrects shaky pictures, PDAF and dual LED flash for low light conditions. The rear camera will take good pictures with its f/2.0 aperture. The front camera is 8-megapixels, also with an f/2.0 aperture that also takes good pictures. Both cameras record videos in Full HD. The camera app features the standard touch focus, geo-tagging, panorama mode among others. A 3,000mAh non-removable Li-ion battery powers the phone that will run the phone for a day with moderate use.

The phone supports microSIMs and nano-SIMs. The phone also supports 4G LTE networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, A-GPS, and the USB Type C that functions as a reversible connector between devices enabling charging as well data transfer.
