The smartphone comes in two storage variants 64GB and 128GB. The base variant has 4GB of RAM, while the top of the line variant has 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with the latest version of Android, the 9 Pie.

The USP of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was its large 5000mAh battery. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 continues the legacy of its predecessor. The smartphone carries forward the same 5000mAh battery. However, this time around, the smartphone also has fast charging, making its battery backup experience even better. The Zenfone Max Pro M2 brings with it a new set of connectivity features. The smartphone has a microUSB 2.0 port and Bluetooth v5.0. The smartphone also has other standard connectivity options like dual-SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, and a 3.5mm audio jack. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
