Huawei Honor Magic 2: Pros & Cons

7.9

MSP SCORE
Pros
The Honor Magic 2 brings the notch-less slider design. The motorised slider on the phone houses the cameras and other sensors, it is indeed an intelligent way of offering more screen real estate and fetching higher screen-to-body ratio. There are many elements that are path-breaking on this phone, mainly the six cameras - three on the rear and three on the front.
Cons
The only shortcoming is the durability of the slider design, we do not know how strong the mechanism is or if it can bear accidental falls. Another disadvantage would be the presence of Huawei's EMUI software on top of Android 9 Pie, which may not please many. We think that Huawei still has to work on its EMUI to make it stand with Android.
Verdict
Overall, the Huawei Honor Magic 2 smartphone is another addition to the series of smartphones that have embraced the slider design instead of notch. Such phones offer more screen and are high on the specifications. Likewise, the Honor Magic 2 ticks all the points of being a flagship with advanced features such as the In-display fingerprint scanner, powerful chipset and camera setup. The only doubt remains over the longevity of the slider design.
