Huawei Honor Play 8A

The Honor 8A conforms to the design of the previously launched Honor 8X. It has a sleek design with slight bezels at the bottom of the body and the earpiece adjusted beyond the display. There is a teardrop notch on top of the screen that houses the selfie snapper and other sensors. The Honor 8A comes with a 6.08-inch IPS LCD screen with 720x1560 pixels resolution and 19:5:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the phone is powered by an octa-core 1.4GHz Snapdragon 435 processor. There is a 3GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded up to 512GB via microSD card.

Concerning optics, the Honor 8A features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP selfie shooter on the front with a slew of features such as Portrait mode. On the software side, the Honor 8A runs Android 9 Pie-based EMUI 9 out-of-the-box.

A 3,000mAh battery backs the Honor 8A, which should be good enough for catering daily usage. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 port, GPS/A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone lacks a physical or In-display fingerprint sensor, but makes up for it by Face Unlock feature that maps the user s face to unlock the smartphone. The Honor 8A measures 156.28x73.5x8mm and weighs 150 grams.
