Huawei Nova 5i Pro

The Nova 5i Pro is a mid-range smartphone from Huawei. Owing to its sleek design, the new Nova phone can give premium phones a run for their money. The device features a punch-hole display design with thin bezels. Moving onto the back, you get a stylish gradient pattern. Like most new phones, the Nova 5i Pro has a glossy finish that reflects the light beautifully. Its quad-camera assembly never fails to grab your attention. And below that is a fingerprint sensor.

The handset comes with a 6.26-inch LCD. With the pixel density of around 412 ppi, you can expect the screen to be quite sharp. Since it is an IPS (In-Plane Switching) type display, you get wide viewing angles and superior color saturation compared to regular LCDs. These panels also offer far better contrast than the TN (Twisted Nematic) LCD screens. The screen's punch-hole design to accommodate the selfie camera is more elegant than a notch.

The Nova 5i Pro is powered by Huawei's in-house HiSilicon Kirin 810 chipset. This 7 nm chip houses two Cortex-A76 and six Cortex-A55 CPU cores. These processor cores are coupled with the Mali-G52 MP6 GPU to deliver gaming performance. The phone comes in two variants. The base model with 6 GB RAM offers 128 GB internal storage. On the other hand, the 8 GB RAM model lets you choose between 128 GB and 256 GB internal storage. As usual, the phone will feature the latest version of EMUI based on Android 9.0.

The phone features a quad camera set up at the back, which is quite rare for a mid-range device. The setup is a combination of a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP lens, and two 2 MP sensors. The camera supports laser focus, phase focus, and contrast focus. It is also equipped with Electronic Image Stabilisation, which Huawei likes to call AIS (AI Image Stabilization). Huawei doesn't take selfies lightly either. The Nova 5i Pro features a 32 MP front-facing shooter.

The phone packs in a 4,000 mAh battery. It supports Huawei fast charging tech with support for a 20 W charger. The company claims that it can top-up 50 percent in just 30 minutes. The Nova 5i Pro dual SIM handset with support for 4G VoLTE. Other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The phone comes with a 3.5 mm audio jack and a USB Type C port.
