Intex Aqua Lions 2

Budget smartphone manufacturer Intex announced the release of yet another device, the Intex Aqua Lions 2. It is pretty much similar to all the other Intex Aqua phones out there, with the same underpowered hardware that makes one think, what's the point of releasing the same device over and over again with a different name. It measures 143.80x72.00x8.00mm in size and weighs 158.30 grams.

The Intex Aqua Lions 2 features a 5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 240x854, which is powered by a Mali 400 GPU. The primary camera is 5-megapixels with LED flash. The secondary camera is also 5-megapixels. The cameras aren't designed for any serious photography and at best, can capture a grainy selfie or two.

The Intex Aqua Lion 2 is run by a quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor clocked at 1.3GHz, along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD expansion. The battery is a non-removable 2,400mAh Li-ion unit, which should last a day, with light usage. The day-to-day operation of the device will most likely be sluggish and littered with stutters and lag, given the underwhelming hardware. The device is expected to run Android Nougat 7.0 out of the box, which is going to be a stretch, considering that Nougat is slightly resource-heavier.

The Intex Aqua Lion 2 is a dual SIM phone which supports 4G and VoLTE. Other connectivity features include 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a micro USB port for charging and data transfer. The device, much like a good chunk of other Intex devices, is aimed at people who're not looking to spend a whole lot on a smartphone and only seek the essentials.
