Lava Z40

The Lava Z40 is a part of Google's Android Go programme, which is an operating system aimed at entry-level with up to 1GB of RAM. The OS is geared with Lite edition of Google apps such as Google Maps, YouTube, and more. The phone also has a Data Saver feature for managing data consumption. The Lava Z40 has 4-inches of compact screen suitable for the segment it caters. The display is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass protection against drops and scratches.  

Under the hood, the Lava Z40 is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The phone also has a microSD card slot that enables further expansion of up to 64GB via microSD card. The Lava Z40 is also geared with K7 external audio PA speaker for enhanced sound output. The phone also supports up to 10 Indian languages. It has a 2MP rear camera with an LED flash and pre-loaded bokeh mode. On the front, there is a 2MP selfie snapper.

A 2,250mAh battery backs the Lava Z40, which is claimed to offer up to 1.5 days of backup on moderate usage. Connectivity options on the Lava Z40 include dual-SIM, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, Micro-USB port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and GPS/ A-GPS. The Dual 4G VoLTE support allows internet browsing via one 4G SIM and receiving VoLTE calls on the other 4G SIM.
