Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102

The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 was launched back in April 2014 as a successor to the Canvas Doodle 2. Featuring a 6-inch display, the Canvas Doodle 3 A102 comes in two versions - one with 8 GB of internal memory and another variant with 4 GB of internal storage. This is the 4 GB version. The six-inch display had a decent resolution of 480 x 854 pixels - giving it a PPI density of around 163. The phone comes pre-loaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly-bean and is yet to receive an update to subsequent Android versions.

At the heart of the Canvas Doodle 3 A102 is the Mediatek MT6572 chipset that houses a dual-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A7 CPU. It is aided by a Mali 400 GPU that takes care of the graphics in games and in the general user interface. There is 1GB of RAM as well. Moving on to the imaging capabilities, the Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 gets a 5 megapixel camera at the rear and a VGA camera at the front. The rear camera has autofocus and LED flash thrown in as well. It is also capable of capturing 720p videos.

The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 also gets a 2500 mAH Li-ion battery that claims to offer a decent 9 hours of talktime as well as 360 hours of standby time. The phone supports 3G and 2G networks and like most other Micromax handsets, boasts of dual-SIM capability. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA with Wi-Fi Direct and of course, Bluetooth v3.0 and micro-USB v2.0 for file transfer. There is FM radio support thrown in as well. The Canvas Doodle 3 came in two color options - Blazing Blue and Pristine White.

The Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 has since its launch been succeeded by the Canvas Doodle 4.
