Nokia 9.1 PureView

The Finnish technology giant Nokia licensed its mobile brand to HMD Global. Its new home is doing all it can to live up to Nokia's legacy in terms of build quality and camera. The company's latest flagship Nokia 9.1 PureView comes with a unique penta camera setup developed in collaboration with Light corporation. Like most flagship phones, the Nokia 9 PureView is water-resistant. The camera phone comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 855 chip coupled with 8 GB RAM. It covers connectivity options such as 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and A-GPS. The phone houses a 4,000 mAh battery with fast-charging tech. On the software front, the Nokia 9.1 PureView runs Android Q out-of-the-box. Nokia 9.1 PureView Details

Design
The Nokia 9.1 PureView has an understated design. It has an aluminum frame sandwiched between glass panels. The back panel is slightly curved at the edges for better ergonomics. It has classy sheen very similar to that of a metal. The manufacturer has added Corning Gorilla Glass on both sides for scratch-resistant. Moreover, the device is rated IP 68 to withstand dust and water. Moving onto the front, the Nokia 9.1 PureView comes with a punch-hole display design to accommodate the selfie camera.
Display
The phone sports a 6-inch pOLED display with pixel dimensions of 2880 x 1440. With the pixel density of 538 ppi, the screen is quite sharp. And since it is an OLED panel, you get vibrant colors and deep blacks. Moreover, the display is HDR 10 compatible, which enhances brightness and contrast. The display also accommodates the fingerprint sensor.
Performance
The phone is powered by Qualcomm's latest flagship chipset Snapdragon 855. This 7 nm chip houses a Kryo 485 core clocked at 2.8 GHz, three Kryo 485 cores running at 2.4 GHz, and four power-efficient 1.8 GHz Kryo 485 cores. The handset comes with the Adreno 640 GPU, which can run the latest games at high settings without any issues. The device's 8 GB RAM takes care of its multitasking requirements. The Nokia 9.1 PureView offers 128 GB of internal storage. On the software front, the device ships with Android Q.
Cameras
The Nokia 9.1 PureView features a penta camera setup. It includes a mix of 13 MP RGB and monochrome sensors. Based on Light corporation's technology, the handset captures data from all five sensors and cleverly combines it to form a final image. This allows the Nokia 9.1 PureView to capture fine detail and depth without adding heft to the body. The phone can record 4K video at 60 frames per second. For selfies, Nokia has thrown-in a 20 MP front-facing snapper.
Battery And Connectivity
The Nokia 9.1 PureView is the first 5G handset from the company. Other connectivity features will include dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, A-GPS, and USB type C port. The Nokia 9.1 PureView draws power from a 4,000 mAh battery. It is compatible with Qi wireless (induction) charging.
