Pros
The OnePlus 8 Pro has a class-leading display, thanks to its AMOLED technology, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a comparatively less-obstructive punch-hole system. While the rear camera setup is still not up there with that of the flagship smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S20 and the iPhone 11, it does offer stellar image quality and video recording. With the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and the optimized Android 10 OS on board, the OnePlus 8 Pro offers the fastest and the smoothest performance we've seen in any Android smartphone so far. OnePlus has also equipped the 8 Pro with IP68 water and dust resistance and 30W wireless charging to make it a true flagship device.
Cons
The front-facing camera of the OnePlus 8 Pro has a much inferior performance compared to that of the other flagship smartphones in the market. We wish OnePlus had offered autofocus and 4K video recording option in the front camera. The other thing we wish OnePlus had offered was a display with a center punch-hole instead of side-mounted punch-hole.
Verdict
The OnePlus 8 Pro does offer a class-leading display, excellent rear cameras, fast and smooth performance, a long battery backup, fast charging, and a fresh design, but it is too costly for what it offers. For the same price as the OnePlus 8 Pro, you can get an iPhone 11, which, we think is a better device overall.
