Panasonic P61

Along with P41 the Japanese manufacturer also unveiled the new Panasonic P61. The mid-level Android based smartphone is priced at Rs 14,990.

The Panasonic P61 comes with a 6-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen with HD (1280 x 720 pixels) screen resolution which produces pixel density of 245 PPI. In terms of memory, the smartphone has 1 GB RAM along with 16 GB internal storage capacity which can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card slot present on the device. The device ships in Black and White colour variants. It has a metal body and along with it the device sports a new feature from Panasonic: Glide Play according to which the user can open an app in a window-on-screen mode and glide it along while moving from one screen to the other.

The smartphone comes with an 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The camera is capable of taking quality images and recording Full HD videos. The front camera on the device captures selfies and can also be used to make video calls. Panasonic P61 is 8.2 mm thick and weighs 174 grams. The device features two dedicated buttons for volume and power. Further the device comes with Proximity sensor, Accelerometer and Ambient-light sensor. The dual-SIM smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

On the connectivity front, the device supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0 port. Much like the Panasonic P41, the smartphone also comes with Music Cafe, Pop i Player and Gesture Play+. The full touch bar device also comes with pre-installed games for recreation and also has an FM Radio. Supplying fuel to the Android device is a non-removable Li-Ion 2800 mAh battery which supports talk time up to 12 hours. Panasonic also ships a premium screen guard and a flip cover along with the device.
