The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is an affordable entry-level offering from the South-Korean smartphone manufacturer. The device is small and compact and emulates the looks of the Galaxy J2 (2017). The smartphone is an Android Go device. Android Go is an iteration of Android 8.1 Oreo which is built for entry-level smartphones.
The device sports a plastic back panel and is small and compact and can easily fit in the palm or pocket.

At its heart, the Galaxy J2 Core is armed with a quad-core Exynos 7870 chipset which is clocked at 1.4GHz and is paired with 1GB of RAM to ensure smooth and seamless performance. For storage, there is 8GB of onboard storage space which you can expand further using a microSD card up to 32GB. After expansion, there is enough space for you to store all that you want.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core boasts a 5-inch qHD TFT display which offers decent legibility. However, one has to struggle to read the screen under bright sunlight. For connectivity, there are options like 4G with support for VoLTE, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, dual SIM support and a microUSB 2.0 port.

The Samsung Galaxy J2 Core is bundled with an 8-megapixel rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. Both the frontal and rear imaging piece is loaded with an LED flash to aid low-light imaging, selfies, and videos.
For power, the device packs a non-removable Li-Ion 2,600mAh battery which is touted to last throughout the day for a first-time smartphone user.
