The Samsung Galaxy M40 is a more feature-packed variant of the Galaxy M30 that was launched in February 2019. However, the phone uses an LCD screen and a smaller capacity battery.

The Samsung Galaxy M40 a 6.3-inch PLS TFT display with Full HD+ resolution and an punch-hole style cutout for the selfie camera. For impact protection, the display features Corning Gorilla (unspecified version).
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy M40 features a triple-camera setup, which has a 32MP wide-angle camera, an 8MP ultrawide-angle camera, and a 5MP depth sensor camera. The Galaxy M40 is the first smartphone in its lineup up feature 4K video recording. This has been possible because of the powerful chipset (which we will talk about later). The front-facing camera of the Galaxy M40 is a 16MP unit and it is capable of Full HD 1080p 30fps video recording.

This is the same chipset that powers the Redmi Note 7 Pro. The Snapdragon 675 has octa-core CPU and Adreno 612 GPU. The Galaxy M40 comes in one memory configuration variant: 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The Galaxy M40 runs on Android 9 Pie operating system, and it has Samsung’s One UI software customizations.
Battery and Connectivity
The Samsung Galaxy M40 packs a decently large capacity, 3500mAh battery. It even comes with 15W Adaptive Fast Charging support. The device offers all the connectivity options that you should expect from a smartphone that has been launched in 2019, such as, a USB Type-C port, dual-SIM card slot with dual-4G and dual-VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth v5.0, and NFC. The Galaxy M40 also has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. There's no 3.5mm headphone jack, though.
